Spring ’25 DEI Highlight

This past semester, our DEI chair hosted an incredible event featuring guest speaker Ray Jones from the University of Pittsburgh. His engaging and interactive session challenged us to think critically about how we can foster a more inclusive community within our chapter.

Professor Jones, who teaches Managing Complex Environments (MCE) at Pitt, brought valuable insights from his experience working in diverse settings. He emphasized the importance of open-mindedness, active listening, and understanding different perspectives to achieve common goals.

One of the highlights of the event was an interactive activity where we analyzed a real-world scenario from multiple viewpoints. Through collaboration and discussion, we worked together to find solutions—strengthening our problem-solving and communication skills within the process.

We thank Professor Jones for sharing his knowledge and helping us grow as individuals and as a chapter. His lessons on DEI apply not only to professional environments but also to our everyday interactions. We look forward to having him back in the future!
